A mESSAGE FROM AARON

I live in Clovelly with my wife and teenage sons. I am a former employee and graduate of UNSW and a daily visitor to our beaches and parks. I feel truly lucky to be part of this vibrant community and incredible natural space.

I’m a great believer in the power of the local environment and community to enhance our lives.

The local government issues I’m most passionate about include:

  • Environmental sustainability and climate resilience

  • Building community and social cohesion

  • Housing affordability and responsible development

  • Active transport and enhancing our green spaces

  • Supporting our local independent business communities

I have the skills and experience to back up my passions.

Through my work as the UNSW Sustainability Director and as a lecturer in Environmental Law, I’ve learned how to work with others to bring fundamental change in the sustainability area.

I have also worked as a Lawyer and Company Director, so I have a strong understanding of the importance of effective governance and how to properly represent people.

I currently work as an advocate with the NSW Nurses & Midwives Association so I deeply understand the importance of advocating for those who serve our community and ensuring our essential workers can afford to live in proximity to where they work.

My community involvement as a volunteer surf lifesaver, community gardener, and in local sporting teams has deepened my understanding of residents’ local needs and aspirations.

I would be honoured to earn your support and represent our community on Randwick City Council.
